Westin E-Series Round Nerf Bars Installation - 2021 GMC Canyon- Video
Hi there, GMC owners. Today in your 2021 GMC Canyon, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Westin's Nerf Bars. It's a three-inch, round tube step from Westin that has a plastic pad on top that gives you a good surface to step on. It's nice and flat on top with some raised surfaces to keep mud, debris, and snow and other things like that from preventing you from getting good traction. That dirt can go down inside the grooves and your foot can rest on top to get good traction in any inclement weather. Tube steps are great for a lot of different reasons. more

Now, some of the biggest reasons why you would want Nerf bars, one they add a lot style to your vehicle. Two, on a bigger vehicle like this, again, this is a Ram 2500, the stock ride height without steps, I'm six foot tall, and it would be hard for me to get in and out of it. I'd have to throw one foot up and then pull myself up in order to get up into the seat. With running boards or Nerf bars, we don't have to worry about that. more

Now they actually do come in two different finishes. We have a black painted finish as well as the chrome finish, which is what you see here. So when people first started using running boards, a lot of them use them to help kind of protect the bottom side of their truck and prevent the rockers from getting damaged and things like that. Well, as time went on, things kind of progressed a little bit and people started realizing, "Hey, I can not only use these to enhance the appearance of my truck, but also provide some functionality there as well to help you get in and out." So if you're in a state that uses salt, these things can really get eaten up pretty dang quick from that salt. However, we really shouldn't have any issues here with the ActionTrac 'cause again we have this nice durable, powder coated finish that is throughout the running boards as well as the brackets. more

These are available in either a two-pack like we've got installed today, with one on each side, or you can get it as just a quantity of one if maybe say, it's just your work truck and you just need one for you so you can get in and out.Having a step on your trucks is going to have many benefits. It's not only going to make it easier to get in and out, but over the life of your truck, as you're constantly using it and getting in and out a lot, it's going to help reduce the fatigue that you're going to get, especially on your joints and knees. So it can definitely save you in the long run, because if you're stepping all the way up here every time, and you're really bending it, you're just putting a lot of effort on your joints and muscles getting in, this can really wear you down over a long day. more

And today we're going to be taking a look at the Westin Protraxx oval nerf bars on our 2020 Chevrolet Colorado.And here's what our nerf bars are going to look like. These are going to be cab length bars. So they are going to span all the way from the front of our wheel well, all the way to the back of the cab. And they are going to provide us a step for the front seat as well as the back, so that way we can get in and out of our truck a little bit easier, whether that's the passengers or somebody driving, or even the people in the back. Because let's face it, the truck may not be that high, but to lift your leg up, especially if you've got back problems or leg problems, that's a pretty high step to reach your foot up. more

Westin Sure-Grip Running Boards Installation - 2019 Ram 1500 Classic- Video
Hi there Ram owners. Today on your 2019 Ram 1500 Classic, we're going to be taking a look at, and show you how to install, Westin's Sure-Grip running boards.It has a nice, bright anodized aluminum that really accents the running board. And I just really like the shape, size, and fit because it just feels like a factory running board. I like the accents here with the moldings on the sides. It helps kind of just mold into the body of the vehicle.And on top, we've got a black rubberized mat. That's got a little cushion to it, and definitely seems like you're going to get good grip on it, it's got a textured type of surface on it. more
